I purchased an .308 carbine buffer spring/buffer for my DPMS lr-308.
Can these be used in a standard buffer tube or do I need to purchase a new spring/buffer for that?
If I need to make the new purchase anyone know where I can find this product?

If it is a rifle buffer tube you will need a rifle spring and buffer.

I run this heavy buffer in my BM. I put a PRS stock on mine which requires a rifle tube, spring, and buffer.

Look here. The spring is a standard AR-10 rifle spring. Mine cycles so much better now.

DO NOT use a carbine buffer in a rifle length tube.

One purpose of the buffer is to stop the bolt carrier before it impacts the lower receiver's threaded ring (where the tube screws into).
If the bolt carrier repeatedly hits the receiver ring, the ring will eventually crack, ruining the receiver.
