Is it better to use a 1:16 twist barrel for a .22LR conversion for an AR-15, or do you get the same accuracy with a normal 1:7 or 1:9 barrel.  Anybody know who sells just 1:16 twist barrels?

Std 22LR barrel is the best choice.  

Look at Kuehl Precision or Accuracy Speaks.   They both use the Ciener kit, but you leave the chamber adapter in the box.
