I see on their website this morning where AIM has Fiocchi .223 in the fifty round boxes available now.  In my rifles these cartridges have proven to be very accurate and very clean.  Unfortunately, at $380 per K (!!) that is way over my threshhold for non-milspec .223.  I appreciate AIM's efforts to keep the ammunition flowing but 40 cents a round delivered for nothing-special rounds is just too rich for my blood.  Maybe somebody just starting out into EBRs can use it though.

$380 per 1000 on ammo, $3.00 per gallon of gas.  Good thing I have a job.

This has been pretty good ammon IMO.  I bought a thousand rds earlier in the year for <300.  When it became clear prices would continue to rise, I ordered another 1000 although not at the present price.  Glad I did.  If prices continue to skyrocket, you'll kick yourself for not stockpiling some.  For me, out of two different carbines, it shot <2moa with velocity in the 3125-3150 fps range.  Just my .02.

FYI, .223 fiocchi is available from www.dansammo.com for $349 plus shipping.  I've never dealt with them personally but their shipping seems reasonable.  I'm done buying for a while.  I just hope my little stash holds up. hinking.gif

I have found that I never really saved money on ammo.  The more I have the more I shoot.  But the prices are crazy! and it will only get worse.

I think I am gonna just use what I have left on not re stock anymore.  $380 per 1000 means I can only afford to burn 200 rounds per session instead of 500

sucks.

3 mags and I call it a day. The .22lr conversions look like a mighty good investment nowadays.  Time to do some researching.

If your rifle does well with 55gr, that doesn't appear to be a bad deal. I tried their 69gr Exacta Match ammo and was not real impressed. The only round my RRA does well at 55gr is S&B. IMI XM855 is my favorite. Working a deal on a case.
