Has anyone tried or, does anyone know, if I can take my "spare" .223 brass and resize it to .204 Ruger?  The outside dimensions appear to make resizing possible and the magazines, bolts, etc. are used for either caliber on the AR15.

The appropriate parent case for .204 is the .222 Remington Mag.

Since .222 is longer than .223, I would say you are up the creek.  I am also pretty sure you can get new .204 for cheaper than .222, so it is probably not a good idea.

I heard that you can make .222 magnum into .204 but you have to fire-form the cases.  Cost wise I don't think it pays unles you get a bunch of .222 magnum brass cheap.
