Hello all, A shop around me currently has PMC and Remington (UMC) 55GR FMJ ammo available for around $3.95, per 20rd box out the door. I have shot both, and have had no problems with either.
So, if you had a choice, which of the two would you stock up on, and if you don't mind me asking, why? Thanks guys.

I guess you guys don't care for this stuff. Maybe I should of added .223 62Gr Wolf ammo to my list also.

The Remington UMC is good for plinking, and after you shoot it, you have quality brass for reloading.
It isn't M193 though, and at $4 it isn't much of a steal.

The PMC stuff is junk in my opinion.

Only had ONE BULLET ever get lodged so bad it took me quite a while to dislodge the bolt carrier.
A bent round of UMC...I used to shoot it, but no more. Its not bad ammo, but just not what I shoot anymore. I think you are better off with it than PMC

I just fired a case of PMC with no problems.

Go with the UMC.

Looks like I'll grab more of the UMC. I hope Winchester white box comes back soon.

UMC cuz I reload and it's available locally. That price is good compared to how high it's gone up around here.

I'm sitting on 1k of Win. Q3131 no A stuff, I would like to shoot it all up but everytime I fill a mag with it all I can see is that after its spent, thats it, it's spent. I can get the UMC locally and thats mostly what I have been shooting lately. It's pretty accurate and It never gives me any trouble.

I can't wait to see the good stuff . Before I got into the AR life, there were Win. Q3131 & 3131A stuff in every store as with the Federal XM193 sitting in boxes on the shelves by the thousands and they would be sitting there with dust a week latter. Now, theres no time for dust to settle on the boxes.

I received 1k of XM193 (20 rnd boxed) stuff yesterday and I'm handling it like Plutonium. I loaded 14 30 round mags with the Lot#100 I bought 6/05. It's funny because the lot# I received yesterday is also 100. I fiqured with several months gone by I would get a higher lot#.
