I bought a M16A1 stock set (early buttstock with trap door) with early triangular handguards and pistol grip for $19.95. It is all military surplus. hippingThis stuff will do nicely if you do not want to pay alot for these parts. Not bad at all.

I got it from this company in California, here is the website WWW.NORTHRIDGEINC.COM

Now remember this is surplus. It has seen some use. I plan on refinishing the handguards (no big deal). The handguards do have heatsheilds.

He's new. In the Build It Yourself Forum.... we give newbies a lot of room. It's in GD they get cut to shreds.

Thank you for posting the picture Kaliburz. What you see in the picture is what you get. The buttstock has the trap door. You have a choice between a trapdoor stock and a non-trapdoor stock.
No, it unfortunately does not come with a buffer tube, buffer, or spring.

These sets have seen some use in the field, they are not new, they are used.

It would be ideal for a knock around, field use AR15.

I like mine...........and for TWO sets I paid $47.50 shipped. I intend to use my guns not lock them in the cabinet to just look pretty. Its whats inside that counts.

Well, not to put down your purchase, but I believe you could have gotten sets in better shape than those, for about the same price, right off the ads on the EE section of this site.

I have, and have had the plus of dealing with fellow enthusiasts with a much friendlier attitude and faster shipping than the people at Northridge.

No VC bllod and brains but my set from Northridge came with authentic Vietnam mud on it.

Seriously though, it isn't a bad price for the whole furniture set. I bought one, got a $3 can of Krylon and it looks brand new.
