I want to buy a set of YHM rings for my Stag Arms 3L. I don't want to go through the hassle of ordering the wrong ones and have to send them back. So I am posting this to ask the experts. What size rings do I need to mount my scope to my top rail.. I like the lowest profile possible.

Here is a picture of the YHM heavy duty - Tall mounts...They fit perfect with the 56mm objective. Maybe it will give you a better idea.

I think you would be fine with the Medium height which are .9 inches from the top of the receiver as opposed to mine which are 1.4 inches from the top of the receiver. So if you take my objective (56mm) minus your objective (42mm) equals 14 mm. Then divide 14 by 2 = 7 mm deference on both ends.  And if you take my ring height (1.4") minus the medium ring height (.9") you are left with a difference of .5"(12.8 mm)...So 12.8 mm minus 7 mm = 5.8 mm (.23")above the top of the receiver or almost a quarter of an inch. So about the same as mine.

I was thinking that it would be the medium, but I wasn't sure. I want the lowest profile possible, but the lowprofile rings on the 42mm would probably cause it to hit the rail.
