Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - YHM tube compatibility question

Has anyone ever put the Yankee Hill Machine customizable full float tube on their AR-10? If so, were there any modifications that needed to be made? I just called YHM and they said they had heard some people had done it but didn't know anything else nor would they say that it it could be done as the tube is designed for the BAR10 and not the AR-10.

Any info would be appreciated.

Well, two very knowledgeable sources have said that the receiver threads are the same pitch.

SniperX says that his forends for the AR10 will fit the Bushmaster, but will be a tad long.  I wonder if that means conversely that the YHM forend, designed for the Bushmaster, would be a tad short on the Armalite?

I have no idea, but I'm tempted to try.
