Yankee Hill will be comming out with a folding drum rear sight.  It may look odd with that tapered barrel (like a cone).  But on closer inspection, this makes the front face of the sight  to be in vertical plane instead of sloped.  Now that is cool, being that it is also folding makes it even more innovative.  I like it.  Now I am really tempted.

The sketch looks like it locks in the up position, but not the down position.  So I would assume that it is not spring loaded.

cheaper than anything comparable (although I'm not sure what that would be)

I like the "HK style" apertures for a rear sight.  I'd be willing to trade range of adjustment for bomb-proof durability.

I'm interested...

I don’t like the giant screw on the side, that’s why I stick with A.R.M.S

Im with you. I know they usually make the cheapest. Their fixed rear sight is only $50.

Wish it was fixed.

I have their A2 BUIS in that style and it is wobbly... I wouldn't trust it to take a hit or a drop.

The thing just seems flimsy.

But, it was cheap and works.  Can't ask for much more... it aint like I'm storming the beaches anytime soon.

Actually they are front, left (deployed), back, left (stowed) respectively.

LINK to other thread?

I suppose you missed it because this ISN'T the optics forum!

But why go and make it a flip version?  I'd like a non-flip version I think.  I'm thinking about the Vltor CASV-ELT on an SBR and how an H&K type rear sight might look- kinda sexy!
