Do the newer Models have heat shield built into them. Some of the ones I've seen avertised look like they do. Thanks...LL...

Mine don't, and I got them less than a month ago. However, they are very well ventilated. I went shooting last weekend, and my barrel really seemed to cool down faster than it used to (with the standard handguards w/ heat shields).

My full length handguards are new as well and do not have heat shields.

My YHM 2 piece carbine handguard was purchased about 4 months ago and had no inner heat shields. Still it vents heat from the barrel much better than a KAC RAS.

My YHM carbine hand guards came with NO heat shields. Mine were from Bravo Company and cane in about 2 months back.

YHM has never had heat shields in its 2pc tactical handguards.
