Months. Ever since he ran out. The real interesting question is will he get any in and honor his past policy of selling it at the price when the order was placed considering the increase in prices since his last inventory

I have had 2k of XM193 and 2k of Q3131A on backorder from Wholesalehunter since11/1/05.  I just got a email update today on my order.  The XM193 is still on backorder but my account says the Q3131a is processing.  The price of the Q3131 is the original price as of 11/1/05.  I guess they have enough Q3131 in to process my order.  I believe the new price of the Q3131 is $26 more per K than my 11/1/05 order price.  I will let you all know when it ships.
BTW, the reason I left my order active was I understand that when Wholesale Hunter gets new stock they fill backorders first and honor the price.  I have done business with them in the past and they are very good people to deal with.

What does it mean when you get the "processing" email update?

If you just put in the order it says processing or pending and if they are out of stock you will get a email the next day stating it's backordered.
In my case it means they have the stock and are putting my order together.  I just got a email from them that states my order status is updated to filled.  The next email I will get is when it's shipped. That's for the Q3131A portion.  Just have to wait and see if they  get anymore XM193 in.

I just went through my emails from my November orders.  I was right at the cusp of stock.  If I had ordered a hour earlier they would have filled at that time.  Here is the order status emails I recieved.

I don't know.  It really doesn't make a difference to me.  I will post when the order arrives on 3/22.  They do list this in their website description.
Note: There is no difference in Q3131 or Q3131A. Both numbers are used by Winchester for the same bullet.

The Wholesale Hunter web site has Q3131 listed in stock @ $6 per box and Q3131A listed as backorder @ $222.00 per K.  Both prices are less delevery.  This is like getting a mystery package.

Crap, I was thinking I mighta been raped when I bought xm193 for $125 for 500 rds up here.  Guess not.  Gonna have to get more I think.

I received the order this morning.  Both cases are Q3131.  Both cases are lot # WB10.  In one case the head stamp is 04 the other case is 05.  I  checked Wholesale Hunters web site and both Q3131 & Q3131a are listed as $6 per box.  I entered 50 boxes and the price did not go down for a case.  $300+13 shipping.  I guess new supplies of ammo have really gone up.  My hats off to Wholesale Hunter for honoring their backorder price.  Sometimes it's just as much about being treated fairly as the money.  I think I will start a thread and spread the word.  Thank you Wholesale Hunter.

Unfortunatly this is not true, there are several differences, they are different animals. Why not just buy it next time from Bass Pro? 4.49 per box.

OK, I'll bite dilligaff.  What are the differences between Q3131 & Q3131A besides the A being made in Israel?  I have never heard of anyone say a bad word about Q3131.  BTW, I got this Q3131 for $3.92 a box from Wholesale Hunter.

Well that is a great price, I happen to love the Q3131 loading, in fact I've stashed ~3000 rounds and I also use it as range ammo, the 700 or so rounds of Q3131A stays sealed in an ammo can< I don't touch it , it's my go-to ammo.

The Q3131 has crimped necks, the Q3131A does not, from what I can tell the Q3131 has a flash suppresant in the powder, I notice a basketball sized fireball with the Q3131A, there were several threads about the "new production" Q3131 when it hit the market, can't remember all that stuff anymore. I can only state what I personally noticed about the two.

Don't get me wrong, both are great loads and I've never had a failure of any kind with either.

I just got my email.  I have been on backorder since 11/1/05.  Just a guess, here but some companies just don't stock merchandise thats overpriced.  They very well could have gotten a new price for XM193 and figured it was too overpriced to offer it to their customers.  I don't think WH will ever have it in the future.  I had Q3131A on the same backorder and figured it would take some time to get it but I figured the XM193 was history.  This week I get the 2K of Q3131 for the 11?1/05 price.  An I disapointed about not getting the XM193, sure but I understand the nature of their supply problems.  They are still great people to do business.  Shit happens


BTW I just looked over my order historys and an 6/14/05 I bought 4k of XM193 from Mirage for $750 to my door.  I never thought the good old days were going to be measured in months.
