Saw this in the local shop yesterday for $22.
I have been planning on getting a fore grip for my M4 profile but it hasnt been a priority.
This one looked pretty decent but figured I would run it through our consumer reports group (you guys) before putting money on the counter.

Anyone use this one?
Like it?
Hate it?

Thanks for opinions.

It looks ok but how does it feel?
For $22 its cheap enough to try out.
Question I see the retention pin but do you need a screwdriver to install and remove?
This would be a negitive on my part.

Slotted screw on the bottom of the grip - looks like it could be taken care of with a shell casing in a pinch. Dont know how it feels (it was in the package at the store)

I may check it out tomorrow....havent decided yet (kinda why I posted here)

It doesn't look too bad. For $12 or so more, you could get this one:

Thats a First Samco VG - spend $22 elsewhere, mine gathers dust in the 'JUNK' box. The QD feature (the botton and mechanism) is all plastic and real rails will wear it away plastic rails are no doubt more forgiving. BTW theTAPCO has  a different VG that may be a better buy. Part # STK09210B $24.99 - you get a tape switch cutout and a more secure storage area- the First Samco just has push in pull out type storage compartment.

Upon further scrutiny its not a First Samco but a knock-off thats bad when somebody is copying First Samco...what is this world coming to ? Sorry ...

Would you buy this Tapco fore-grip...if not what do you recommend?

no I wouldn't...........but for $22 it is low-risk and serves a purpose for the occasional AR shooter looking for an inexpensive vertical grip

I would - and did - buy a Tango Down grip since it has storage, integrated position for tape-switch, and is durable. ($60)

Other options include:

Grip Pod - 2 models Aluminum and polymer (expensive but doubles as a bi-pod)

KAC - choice of armed forces (not just a "used by Delta Force and Navy SEALs" claim)

That is my favorite vertical grip - CDNN has them as well, I believe.  Aluminum, with some rubber coating, and not expensive at all.  (I think CDNN charges $20 for it).
