I can't legally own a suppressor in my state a was wonder how much a QD blast sheild would really help indoors

It's still going to be loud, especially in a house, but it will help a little.  I'd go with one of the linear comps instead though, they'll be a lot lighter.  Levang, STD, Black River Tactical, etc.
