I'm thinking about going with wood furniture for my AR build. The only place that I've found is Ironwood. I'm hoping that there are more than that.

Anyone used the wood yet? Anyone with pics? Pros, cons?

I got a wood furniture set from Ironwood Designs in San Jose a couple of years ago.  Beautifully done in walnut.  The link in the reply above has some pics of my A1 retro rifle.  Matt Schuster also does sets in maple or will do them with your lumber by special arrangement.  You need to call him for availability since he focuses on all kinds of other rifles and custom work.  Last price I heard was $225 for the three-piece set.  The Ironwood web site does not discuss the AR furniture at all.  You need to call or email.  Matt's cell phone is (408) 893-3461.

Ironwood does good work. I bought some wood for an AK from him and he did really nice work. He's also a nice guy.

Check out their site.  Cool CNC machinery cuts and sands the wood.  Pretty neat operation.  The AR furniture is worth the wait.  I believe Matt is now doing short CAR-type handguards as well.  Haven't seen one yet, but if it's anything like the rest of his work, you will like it!!
