I have an AR carbine set up to use this load. So far I like the ammo but I have a problem. This stuff wasn't cheap to start with and the supplier where I normally get it just went up $2 on the box. Being that it uses a 64 gr bullet kinda makes it an oddball when looking for a cheap round that will shoot to the same POI. Can anyone recommend a load that will do so? I know both Federal and Winchester make a cheap commercial spec 62 gr FMJ load. Out to about 50 yards (maybe 100 yds), will this stuff shoot close enough not to matter?

Also, if anyone has ever tested the PP+ or either of the two above mentioned 62 gr FMJ loads for velocity, I would really appreciate the numbers. That could greatly aid me in finding a suitable yet cheaper load for practice.

Thanks,

-CH

for ranges up to 100 yards, I would assume that ANY ammo would shoot to a close enough point of aim for target practice.

It all depends on what you are training for.  Otherwise, buy a few boxes and see which ammo hits the same POI.
