Considering availability right now, is that just too much to pay?  I've got a fairly good stash of 5.56 right now, but I'm feeling like if I pass it up while its on the shelf, I might not be able to see anymore for a while.

Gaw.  Not too long ago it was $2.99.

Reloading you can make the same stuff for $0.18/ round.

It's anybody's guess on what the future of ammo will entail.  It all boils down to what you can afford.  The cheapest I remember the WWB/Q3131/A was $4.95 a box around rural Kansas.

If you're asking, it means you are considering.  If you're considering, then it must be affordable for you.

Won't be at the same velocity, don't have crimped primers, sealed necks, etc.
However, at that price of 1000 rounds for ~$500, you'd be much smarter to buy a Dillon 550 ready to rock (extra for dies, scales etc) at $600.
I of course, am cheap ass and bought a complete single stage for $300.

Anyway, $11 for a box of 5.56 is an atrocity.

I won't pay more than $0.50 a round for .223.

I can get the hook up on Q3131 for $8.24 a box plus tax when it is in stock.

I know some people ;)

Two weeks ago I bought some Q3131 for $8 per box (20 rd) delivered.  He only had 640 rounds left so I bought them all.  I also picked up four cases of XM193 (900 per case) on stripper clips in cardboard for $415 per case and thought I got a hell of a deal.

A few years back I would have laughed at anyone who would have told me that I would be paying much over $225 for a case for .223 by any manufacturer let alone over $400 per case.  That ain't right!

I have to start reloading.  I looked at midways sight because I need 9mm.  I'm just like, DUDE. I don't think I saw one box of 9mm available anywhere.  .22's are all gone, I did see they had some 7.62 x 51 WWB 147 grainers but I'm like, wow.  I'm going to walmart today to see what's up.

I have a small stash of 5.56 but instead of shooting it, I'm switching to other stuff and going to keep buying reloading equipment.  I don't want to just plunk down all at once though.  I have a Dillon Brass cleaner thing.  What concerns me is I heard primers are hard to get too.  This is crazy.
