Having a tough time deciding between the 2. Its going into a SPR and the lower might also be transfer into SBR for dual use. Thoughts?

Geissle is aimed more for the military and High Power shooters.  Very pricey.  Wonderful trigger, I would like to buy another one for myself.
RRA has a good two stage trigger for about half that price.  If you are not shooting competatively, save some money for other things.

Just looked at the SSA. Go for it.  That would be your best bet.

I was highly impressed by my buddy's single stage TTU in his SBR and for that sort of setup, I honestly prefer the single stage type trigger, now as a general purpose trigger I think I'll be trying to use that new SSA-E, tried one the other day and damn I loved it The SSA and the other Geissele (sp?) triggers are great, and simple, what is nice about the TTU, though, is that it is a drop in unit that is very well protected and idiot proof (not saying the standard set up type of the SSA is complicated or anything).

Either would be a good choice, but see if there is any way you can try them out first, often the larger gun shows have dealers that have demos of them.

You are looking at two very high quality triggers, that are not only quality in terms of trigger pull, but also in longevity and durability.  If you get the chance, try both out.  I own and use both, and both have been used by fellow LE and MIL, and both triggers have been very well liked by everyone.

Most other 2 stage triggers are not in the same league as the TTU and SSA, especially in the durability department.

Stick, what trigger are you currently running on your duty rifle?

I've got 4 Wilson TTUs. I've owned pretty much every trigger out there and am just continually impressed with them all (the TTUs).
3 SS and 1 2S. Need one more then all of the ARs will have a TTU.

I have 4 (as of this afternoons UPS Shipment) Wilson Combat TTU single stage units. I have used several Geissles. i have come to prefer the single stage units. They are second to none and after ow ning 2 wilson combat 1911's and 1 Scattergun Borderpatrol model I was sold on there quality and durability. With me its all about the other factors as cost is not an issue when this type of quality product is involved.

A heavier than standard SSA.

Custom?  Special springs?  Other?

I have 6 (as of this afternoons UPS Shipment) Wilson Combat TTU single stage units. 2 in my Colt SP-1's, 2 in my Armalite SPR's, 1 in my Colt SP-1 HBAR and 1 in my Colt A2 Govt carbine.  I have used several Geissles, tried the RRA 2 stage and tested several of the Chip Mcormick triggers. I have come to prefer the single stage TTU units. They are second to none and after owning 2 wilson combat 1911's and 1 Scattergun Borderpatrol model I was sold on there quality and durability. With me its all about the other factors as cost is not an issue when this type of quality product is involved. That and the fact that now no matter what im shooting my trigger pulls are pretty much identical.

My bad. Got up and was doing laundry dishes and posting at the same time.
Count is 6. Thought I corrected it but had to go to the safe and count. Was pretty sure the HBAR was a TTU also.

He likes the single stage Wilson Combat TTU (so do I), he also likes Wilson Combat 1911s and shotgun.  He likes them enough that he has 4 of the SS TTUs, and is more worried about the overall quality and function of the item, than he is trying to save a few dollars.

Yeah this. Except the count is 6. I trully do have a lot of respect for the Geissell. It is a class A trigger.  Just like the TTU better.

Another vote for the TTU.  It's the perfect balance between a precision and tactical trigger.

As crazy as this sounds I carry Glock 23's cause there light reliable and pack plenty of ammo. Just always have been and always will be a 1911 fan. I have owned Colt, Les Baer, Wilson, Kimber and SA's.. I only have my origional / 1st carry gun Colt 1911 SS Officers model and my Wilsons left. Just cant seem to part with them..
