Confused re: what "low profile" means. Is it just low when folded or does it sit lower once it's opened, thus requiring a matching low front sight?

Any user experience with this BUIS appreciated.

Low profile when folded. Standard heigh when up. Yes it will work with your standard front sight.

Will they co-witness with an Eotech? (center or lower 1/3?)

The irons are at a standard height. The cowitness will be determined by which model EOTech you get.
