My MSTN 7.5 upper came with it ,and seems to work fine, and i'm happy with it,but i wondered why both parts were two differ brands and now i see that this is a common thing. Why?Why not all stag or all LMT?

Did you ask MSTN?

Only a guess...
Higher-end barrel makers ship barrels with a a bolt...usually CMT.
The assembler wants a properly factory staked bolt carrier...LMT.

So essentially what is going on is M.S.T.N. actually gives a shit about what they ship out and what you are using.

So in my case that means Noveski sends mated stag bolts with their barrels.Good to know.

What is the problem with their current configuration?

They do not move enough material for a proper stake, nor is it performed in the correct manner.

MSTN:

Is there any difference in quality between an MPI tested CMT bolt vs. an MPI tested LMT bolt (standard, not enhanced)?  Just trying to ascertain why you chose the CMT bolt over the LMT one.   Just re-read your post, you use either CMT or LMT.  But the questions still stands:  Any difference between the two?

I stake their carriers properly before I sell them.

Thanks for the reply, Wes.

ETA:  To anyone that cares, I'm planning on sticking an LMT bolt into one of these carriers:  www.10-8forums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=39346&an=0&page=0
