Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Why Arms 19 over a factory TA51 on a ACOG TA01NSN

My TA01NSN came with the Trijicon TA51 flat top mount, and it seeems to work just fine. I've read numerous times where guys here prefer the ARMS #19 or #10 as the "optimal" flat top mount for an ACOG. What is the major advantage/disadvantage of the TA51 ???
The cantilever type mount ? ...  or height over bore center? ....  Do BUIS fit easier underneath one or the other??  I have a standard TA01 as well and bought the TA51 for it too. What makes the ARMs versions any better??

Generally a throw lever mount (like the ARMS #19 or LaRue Tactical mount) will give you a quick off capability and a better repeat zero. Besides that, the TA51 is a boat anchor as far as weight goes....

Hm, I didn't think the TA51 was heavy, but I like the QD capability.
