Anyone know of a place for cheap once fired 5.56 or .223 brass? I've been looking at a few places and couldn't find any. Thanks in advance!

I get all my 1 fire brass from the local ranges for free. Got to love those who fire 3131A and XM193 and leave the empties laying on the ground. Got (3) 5 gallon buckets full already since January.

I hate that brass. You have to contend with the primer pocket crimp. Plus it's hot ammo, so the cases are stretched more.

But I always save my mil brass for the guys who like it.

You're my hero,a true survivalist! I used to pocket all my empty brass at the range when we had to qualify! They'd have a can to put all your brass in and I was the only one taking it out! I have dealt with www.rvow.com in the past. Great stuff. All LC!

I never take brass from the range unless I'm with someone actually shooting it and I know it's new brass. You can't tell how many times it might have been reloaded already, and Not All brass is created equal.

I used to grab any and all brass until I had a case separation from old weak brass.

I have some once fired Lake City .223 (XM193) brass that you can have free if you pay shipping. IM if interested. I am guessing there is about 100 rounds, give or take.

Find someone who is shooting NEW production AE or buy some yourself.

American Eagle? NO WAY.

Federal's commercial .223 brass is some of the worst out there. Troy cut some in half and posted a pic on this site. The case walls are to thin and such. Plus, in my personal experience the primer pockets are too loose when you seat a new primer. I throw that shit away if it gets into my brass mix.

EDIT: I see you posted in another thread that AE is made from LC components now. If AE is made with LC brass now, then disregard my post above. I had not heard that.

Save up 2000 cases and send them to River Valley Ordnance. They will tumble, deprime, remove primer crimp, full-length resize, trim to length, and return YOUR BRASS in lots of 2K for $50. Another $10 gets you primers in the brass.
