The Bolt in my Noveske N4 Light is marked CM. In pictures i've seen from STICKMAN, they are marked MP.

I know what the MP stamp stands for. What about CM?

TIA

Jake

I believe the Heavens open up and they fall from the sky.

At least that is what I've read around here . . .

Those are the same markings on my new BCM bolt.

I recall Noveske gets his carriers from the same place as BCM...not sure if the same goes with the bolts...

I wish!  I'd have them on Gunbroker ASAP too!

I'm guessing CM stands for Continental Machine, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I also heard a statement a few years ago from a Model 1 Sales employee who told me all bolt carrier groups for the entire country come from either Continental Machine or from National Aerospace.

I've never been able to confirm that one either . . .

The Noveske BCGs are supplied by Larue Tactical–– thought everyone knew that.

Seriously from LaRue?  Would think Noveske would get direct rather than through a middle (quality) man.

I've actually been asking the same question about Noveske BCG.. want to know too.

I'm pretty sure that was a joke. Last I heard, Mr. LaRue and Mr. Noveske don't care for each other very much.

I'm pretty sure Noveske's BCG's, like his receivers are made by CMT.

Their BCG's are made by CMT.  They use the ones that are MP tested and they properly stake them in house.

Mr. Larue doesn't seem to care for anyone these days.  Browsing the tacked threads in his forum reveals more drama than a junior high girls sleep over.  Its a good thing he makes decent products or no one would put up with his childish behavior.

There is an article I had read, if I find it i will link it. From what I remember Noveske said his BCGs came from two different sources. One for the carrier and one for the bolt.

I found it. Here is a quote from John Noveske:

"Noveske: Most of the MILSPEC parts, I contract out. And, I use a lot of different shops based on who makes the best of that component. Like, one place makes my bolts and another place makes my carriers, and it's because…it has nothing to do with money. It's which ones I like better. And, right now, I feel that as far as the MILSPEC parts go, I couldn't do better. They're just excellent. I get 'em in volume. I've got my purchase orders in to January '09. Everything is just hunky-dory."

Don't forget about the diller pigs, everyone loves the diller pigs...

Seriously, Mark is a good guy who makes and sells EXCELLENT products.  But, he's just extremely frustrated with the under handed, back stabbing, BS that goes on in the industry apparently.  This is just how he vents.  For those who remember, it's some of the same turds that were pulling some seriously low rent and underhanded crap on this board a few years ago.
