Hey guys...I've seen a few of you with some exceptionly large flashlights on the end of your guns..some I swore could double as aircraft landing lights.  I'm looking to make and M4 out of a AR-10...a sorta M4 on steroids. So everything has to be a little bigger. I'll be attaching to the carbine with a mid length free float picatiny rail system in case you were wondering...

I love my surefires. You can't beat them with a stick as far as I am concerned. I have a 952 on my M4 and love it.

tac17,

I'm considering either 952 or 962 as a light for my AR15. Do you feel 952 heavy when you mount it forward on rail system?

Also, how bright is 952 with P60/61?

Thanks

MaverickMkii,

When it is mounted you can tell that the 952 is there, but it doesn't seem to be enough to get in the way. The 952 weighs 9.3 ozs. and the 962 weighs 11.5 ozs. for reference the 6P weighs 5.1 ozs.

The 952 with the P60 throws the same amount of light as a 6P or a G2 just a little wider field as far as I can tell. I have never tried it with a P61 though so I can't help you there.
