IMHO - the Knights SR-15 match

Alot of them can do as much, but I have to say Bushmaster, even using iron sights.

If could have any, I would pick either the HK93 or FNC - both out my price range.

ARMALITE.
remember, AR stands for ArmaLite!

I believe (I say believe because I have never personally experienced) that the RRA Varmant will deliver a guaranteed 1 MOA out of the box so a good shooter should be able to do at least 3/4 to 1/2 MOA since they would understate the accuracy to make a guarantee like that. I think this is with the 20inch model.

I have to agree with Mike_T - right out of the box and if you had the money, the Knights SR-15 Match would be the absolute best.

If your budget's a little tighter, then I'd say the Armalite M15A4-T (24" Stainless Barrel).  That's really a very accurate weapon right out of the box.

If you want to use the iron sights and keep the barrel length down to 20", then you may want to look at the ArmaLite M15A2 National Match.

Colt CR6724 - .5moa gun, right out of the box.  I've never heard of one of these rifles that was not supremely accurate.

Again, this is very subjective as SinistralRifleman already stated, also a budget may or may not be a consideration here. Of the basic military issue M16A2 styled AR15's, I would chose the Bushmaster 20" A2(XM15-E2S). This weapon performs and breaks down very much like the M16A2. For a postban civillian version it is very close to the real thing and the price makes it a great value all around.  There are several accurized versions of the AR15 like the Varminter, the Bushmaster DCM, and high end weapons from Knights, and Les Baer. The basic 20" AR15 is a great value and accurate enough for 500-meter or longer shots at man sized targets. For more serious competition type accuracy the high end weapons are hard to beat out of the box.
