I was looking for some replacement furniture for a couple AR's.

I've heard that the cavalry arms make is good, but is better than what is available from other vendors?  Is there a difference in how it is made?  I've seen some mention that the glass filled compression molded stuff doesn't melt as easy.  So who makes what?

Cavalry makes great furniture! Cav's is made of nylon similar to a Glock hand gun it's thermally stable and won't melt easily.  I'm running a set of their hand guards without heat shields on a national match style float tube upper.

I picked mine up from www.quanticoarms.com/.

FYI: they also carry QuikClot something that should be in every vehicle you go to the range in, it's just in caes kind of thing.
