armalite and eagle arms makes the ar10

dpms makes their  LR308

bushmaster doesnt make 308 lowers any more

knights makes theirs and sells as rifles only

And the only AR10 lower you can get for a "build" is the Eagle Arms lower as Armalite won't sell "Armalite" marked stripped lowers.

DPMS probably sells stripped .308 lowers too, but they're not AR10's.

There is only one manufacturer who makes AR-10 lowers:

Armalite.

KAC makes the "SR-25"
DPMS makes the "LR-308"
Eagles Arms makes the "EA-10"

It should be noted that EA-10 and AR-10 lowers are the same thing with different rollmarks.  ArmaLite doesn't sell AR-10 lowers, they only put them on full rifles.  Eagle Arms does.

Well to be completey accurate, the EA-10 carries a one year warranty.  The Armalite carries a lifetime warranty.

Further, while Armalite may not sell AR-10 lowers, you can find them and buy them separately.

The only company to make lowers designated as AR-10, legally, is Armalite.

While Bushmaster used the BAR-10 designation shortly, this was on the fringe of legality, and they are no longer produced in either the BAR-10 rollmark or the .308 Bushmaster rollmark.

I stand corrected.  I forgot about the warranty thing.

I offer this photo as Evidence that Eagle Arms receivers are AR-10's as well.
Of course they are Armalites, but they are not on the CA banned list  nor is the EA-10 if that also exists and I think that's what the original question really concerns.
The "Armalite AR-10 (all models)" is specifically on the banned list.

The Eagle lowers I have had were marked EA-10....

Wonder if the EA-10 is the old way?  Or the new way?  Or of they do both as they see fit?

At the end of the day, only a Mark Westrom company holds the AR-10 designation now.

But who actually makes the lowers? Knights and Armalite have their own machine shops right?  Whos receivers come from whoever else?  h.gif

If anyone has an EA-10 that they want to sell or trade for an AR-10 marked receiver, I would be game.
The EA-10 is NOT on the banned list here in CA, but the "Armalite AR-10 (all models)" is listed.
They do have a separate listing for Eagle Arms and only the M15, XM15-E1 and XM15-E2 are listed, so I think I am OK.
My FFL is still worried about the "div of Armalite" markings on the side of the Eagle receiver because they could possibly determine that the Eagle receiver is really an Armalite and then I am stuck with an illegal AW.
As there are NO mentions on our banned list of EA-10, I would really like to trade out for one of those if anyone is game.
I'll cover the FFL costs on both ends.
My AR-10 marked receiver is brand new.

Well, I just emailed Armalite to make sure I wasn't dreaming about the EA-10 rollmark.  I am 99% sure that my first "AR-10" was marked EA-10, since I bought the lower separately from the upper.

Hell, maybe I just dreamed it up...

I can't imagine California would miss banning a weapon that already existed.

What about the older Eagles that are marked EA15?  Are they on the list?

I'll let you know in a week or 2.  Janet told me my Eagle Arms .308 lower should ship soon.  I think EA-10 was the old way, but we'll see in the next few weeks.

Everything I have is marked either AR-10 or AR-10A4.  Sorry fellas.

Has anyone seen a lower marked EA10?  I'm thinking that EA-10 is just a part number that ArmaLite assigned to the Eagle line, to differentiate from the ArmaLite line.  I dunno...

...like I said.  I am fairly certain one of my old Eagle lowers was an EA-10.

I believe PCGuns has stated the ones he is selling are marked EA-10.

I emailed him about it last week when you sent me that link.
His are all marked AR-10 as well and he does not even seem to want to sell them to us in CA...
Oh well, I got my Eagle and I'm holding on to it.

...

That's odd.  He IM'ed me they said EA-10.

Maybe it was a catalog numbering and not the actual markings...

Anyhow, I wonder why Armalite has not responded to my emails?
