Who is currently selling M16A4 uppers ie no feed ramps? Is anyone making cool looking ones like the vltor or other styles of receivers beside just the run of the mill mil spec with out feed ramps?

Finally and least desirably, can't I just fill the ramps in with JB weld and call it good? Has anyone done that?

Del Ton sells them.

If you wanted something special, LaRue uppers have rifle ramps if you buy from their website only.

You could call DPMS and see if they sell them without. I bought a complete DPMS M4 upper that did not have "M4 feedramps" years ago.

CDNN still has DPMS A2 uppers on sale for super cheap. They do not have feed ramps (I have bought several of them).

Will these work for your application? I guess I don't know the difference between an A2 and A4 upper.

do you really need an upper without m4 feedramps that bad to justify using JB weld?

Check DSA

Yes the M16A4 is the flat top and doesn't have M4 feed cuts because its not an M4! Civilians call it the A3 upper because it makes sense in the civilian world to do so. That is because the M16A3 is just a Full Auto A2 and the receivers are the same. I always figured there should be an A5 (FA flat top) and A6 (FA 20"bbl with collapsible stock) but I digress.

Because the rifle doesn't have M4 feed ramps in the barrel extension when combined with a receiver which has cuts you get two little pockets below the barrel extension where if a round were ever to get into would lock things up pretty good.
