All my .223/5.56 rifles have the standard (T1) buffer.  A couple are Spikes and the others are just generic.  I just put a Spikes T2 in a 300 BLK build and it seemed to tame the beast better than the T1.  There are some people out there that swear by the heavier buffer in the 5.56, but I don't notice a difference when I swap them around.

I ran a t1 in a set up very similar to the one you described. And it seemed to have trouble with steel cased ammo, not nessicarly the buffer. But just saying.

I run the ST-T2 in two BCM 14.5" middys and one Noveske 16" middy.  I've sworn by them ever since I used the very first one.  The ST-T2, middy gas system, and BattleComp setup is what I run on all 3 of my AR's, and in my opinion is one of the smoothest and softest setups you can run.

I run ST-2 buffers on two rifles and two AR pistols. No complaints or bolt bounce

I run the T2 in my 16" carbine length, recoil pulse went from relatively harsh to 22lr like, and quit tearing and bending rims.

I run a T2 in my Spike's 10.5" sbr. That rifle runs everything very well. I have about 2k through it with no malfunctions.

There are at least 100k of them out there some where. :-)

Not knocking your product, but that could simply be the result of marketing/group mentality.

I'm using a dozen ST-T2 without issues, and I have 3 more waiting to go into current projects.

Awesome, thanks for the replies, looks like the ST-T2 will be here sometime Monday or Tuesday.

Like the Big Boss said, there wouldn't be thousands upon thousands of them out there if they sucked.

I run a T2 with regular spring and a standard buffer with an extra power spring. I know the setups don't generally serve the same purpose but I am adding another T2 and ditching the reg. buffer/wolf spring. The T2 and regular spring really stand out.

I have a few. One in a Dissy. Another in 14.5 LW. Another in a 6.8. All Spikes rifles. Have a couple more Spikes BCGs/ buffers in rifles I can't remember off top of my head. Good stuff.

Cycles fine
Should I be worried?

I purchased one and a Tubbs CS Flatwire Action Spring for an over-gassed 16" carbine.  That sorted my issues on it.  Out of curiosity, I moved those two items to the 14.5" (w/ pinned Phantom) carbine I built.  It also works like a top.  The 16" wouldn't cycle Wolf with the ST-T2 and the stronger spring.  I don't know about the the latter carbine, I haven't tried anything less than domestic .223 in it and I'm not likely to do so going forward.

Im running the st-t2 and spikes spring in my 14.5 middy, has been 100% on mil-surp ammo. cant comment on anything else as thats all ive shot. Also seems to cycle noticeably smoother when hand cycling compared to my other rifle with mil-spec buffer and spring. cant really comment on shooting becuase its the only set up ive ran on the 14.5 middy(wouldnt really be fair to compare it to the 16 inch carbine).
