Needing some help to ID this retro looking Buttstock in the pics below. Looks almost like a modernized CAR stock with a curved neck if you will. Any help on the maker(s) and if this is something still available on the market, and if so where could I find one. Also if these were for mil-spec tubes or commercial spec tubes (or both?). Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Why does this seem like 5th column guerrilla marketing to me?  Second post? professional photos? Mods, please take a closer look at this.

Those are hardly professional photos.

You are right. I am still suspicious of the OP's motives. Why would he want THAT stock and not a real CAR fiberite? Yes, I find it interesting, but it seems like it might be a sales ploy. If he had as many posts as you do, I would not question it at all, but it makes me wonder. I am not trying to insult the OP, but it just seems strange. Why would anyone produce a stock like that anyway? Will it turn up in the EE two days from now with the same photos?

First off I would want a stock of this type but not for a retro build but for another project. Also if this was a sales ploy I would not have posted this thread asking information about the stock in the photos as I am actually wanting to obtain one but in brand new condition. And as for the photos one is from GunBroker, and the other two is from Google while searching for a CAR stock in hopes that I would be able to find more info on the above stock in the pics. Also my first post was in the Equipment Exchange which was a "Want to Buy" ad. Hopefully this can clear somethings up if people is for whatever reason thinking otherwise of my thread.

We've had some less than honest dealers enter the retro market lately, showing up here, not making good on orders, getting banned from here, and finally his attorney showing up on here. He-who-shall-not-be-named has stirred up a bunch of mess with folks.

When we see a new product like that with a guy coming out of the blue in the retro forum, its like deja vu all over again.

Well, off the bat, whenever I see that "thick" buttplate, I avoid them.  The original Colt stocks and the nicer aftermarket clones will have a thinner BP and no molded ridges on the locking latch.

+1 to UTG.  noticed the thicker buttpad and the curved portion forward of the latch.

Well thats a bummer that the stock seems to have a bad rep. I had come across a vendor while trying to google some info on it that is selling the complete kit though it was for a commercial spec diam. tube. When I found that out I last interest. So I figured some folks here may know about the stock and if there is mil-spec tube version of it available. The last pic I posted that was from GunBroker the seller said it fits a mil-spec tube. I had also bid and won it but never went through with the purchase given me feeling the seller was faulty and his english or text didn't seem too right when asking him certain questions regarding detail on it. This is what had lead me to believe that there must be a mil-spec version one available out there. But maybe I am wrong? or that seller on GunBroker was wrong or full of it? I was preferring for it a custom SBR build over an original CAR given me not seeing a stock like this before and IMO having a bit of uniqueness to it if you will. But with the post here its almost sounding as if the stock has a bad rep due to it being sold by prior third parties who created / manufactured it?

On another if I'm unable to obtain the above stock in a mil-spec diameter tube I'll probably just hold out for one of those LWRC Ultra Compact UCIW stock kits to come along which from the word I got would be sometime real soon. I'm in hurry on this build but would prefer the stock above.
