Which sling do I need?

I am planning on carrying my new carbine(if I ever get it) around the farm. Pretty Rough mountainous terrain. Which sling type would be most useful for humping this thing around?

I currenly tote a scattergun, but during the winter months, I really need to be packing a rifle.
