I bought one a while back and havent put anything on it yet and was looking for input I was thinking this, the TA11E http://swfa.com/Trijicon-35x35-Acog-Rifle-Scope-P553.aspx. Didn't know what you guys thought of them? how far out you shoot with them? thanks. I also am thinking of another trijicon for my .223 dpms since arfcom is having that group buy any suggestions, thanks.

I think the 3.5x ACOG is ideal on the Ap4 or simliar 16" 308....................

I have an AP4 and put a Burris XTR Tactical scope on mine. It has 1.5-6x magnification with a lighted reticle. It is a sweet scope and allows up close reflex action with 1.5x and also allows you to reach out further and take advantage of what the .308 was made for.

I have a Millet DMS-1 on mine, Works like a charm.

My AP4 has a Leupold Mk 4 CQ/T mounted. Aside from being a potential zombie killer :) I deer hunt with it. Locally, I never shoot over 200 yards, and it works well at that range.

I know it's not a sexy tactical scope... but the Ziess Conquest 3-9x40 works great for me... and they're only $399 w/ free shipping.

Just my .02 decent glass and a good mount that won't break the bank.

I really like the M2 IOR/Valdada on my 308, BDC cammed for 168 gr. loads, crystal clear glass and built like a tank.
Downside: needs about 1/2" more eye releif and it's heavy.
I think mine was $375 off the EE

I put a Bushnell 3200 fixed 10x with Mil Dot reticle and a Bobro mount.

I haven't had a scope since I was a kid. I like this a lot.

I've got a Burris XTR 1.5-6 on my AP4 & am pretty happy with it!
I normally see it selling for around $750, but got a smokin deal on E-bay - $600 shipped & it was New in the factory packaging!

For you guys using the Burris XTR, how is the setting at 1.5? Is it a noticeable magnification? I like the 1-4x scopes out there, but having the 6x would sure be nice (especially with the BDC on the burris)

I've got an Eotech, which is great for hogs, but my favorite is the zeiss 3-9x50. Great low light clarity and a 50mm fits easily on to the ar platform.

The .308 rifle is not meant for CQB. However, the combination of the lighted retical and the 1.5x makes this scope work similar to a reflex sight. The 1.5x has some magnification but a huge field of view and the 6x is good to 200 if shooting small game, and 500 yards if you are shooting man size targets. I absolutely love the reticle. It leaves the scope wide open for target acquisition and gives you the drop compensator for 100-800 yards. On a side note, the 3V (2032) watch battery for this scope will last from 20-25 hours depending on use. Overall, I love the scope, it is sexy, funtional, and accurate.
