Gentlemen,

I'm new to the newer .22 conversions and need some adivce.  Which mags should I get?

When I came into work this morning an anonomous benefactor had placed a Ceiner .22 conversion and BDM mag on my desk to go with my son's (11) cute little M4gery.  I immediately started looking for additional mags.  Brownells has both CMMG and BDM mags however the BDM mags are $10+ more than the CMMG.  Are the two brands identical or should I spring for the BDM?

BTW, I may run this in a 20" 1/12 that I don't have a BCG for yet and keep his 16" 1/9 clean for CF ammo.

Thanks!

I've used both, and they're both good to go.  I don't see any real difference at all.

The BDM mags come in a few colors, the CMMG mags are grey.

I have both and both work well but I prefer the Black dog mags because they fit better plus they have excellent service and they really take care of the customer. They have a sale going on right now on their web site order over $100.00 and get 25% off. If you buy ten mags they come out to $13.00 a mag. You can't beat that. Plus I recommend you buying at least one drum mag. They are $60.00 after the discount but are well worth it plus they are coming out with Adapters to fit the 10-22 as well. Buy with Confidence from Black Dog

Both work great the CMMG 26 round are wobbly where the 15's aren't. I like BDM for long mags and Cmmg for 15 rounders.

Both these mags (and drum) also fit in the new Sig 522 .

I like my BDMs, never had a problem.  BDM also has more options, they have a half sized mag for bench shooting as well as a newly introduced 50 round drum that is getting great reviews.  I picked one up one of the drums and hope to get to the range this weekend to try it out.

Buy the BDM's directly from Black Dog Machine right now, even if your order is only for 4 mags and a drum.
The time and price are right.............. The discount will show in your cart after you have $100.00 ordered.
The sale is on till Jan. 03, 2009.............

SpecOps-13

PS: Use the conversion in the 1:12" and save the money on the bolt for it. You're gonna love it so much that
you'll forget the need for any other bolt.....

BDMs work great in my dedicated uppers and my Sig 522. And the 50 round drum rocks.

Thanks guys!

I just placed an order with BDM for a drum, three more 26 rounders, a survival kit and a thumb assist loader.

My kids are gonna be swimming in .22 mags this Christmas.  A local store honored a misprinted ad for 25rd. Steel Lips at $7.99.

That's a great deal! How many mags did you end up getting? At that price I probably would have bought 12 of them.
