I looking to buy a RRA flattop upper and i'm trying to figure out which upper will fit a KAC RAS; sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but i just wanted to make sure before i spend $500+. Thanks, Eric

The RAS will fit on any upper receiver, but will not fit on HBAR barrels; the way it attaches requires the barrel to be thin under the handguards. The RIS will fit on HBARs & any other barrel, but is somewhat less stable than the RAS, which has a better method of attachment.

so it will fit the RRA entry tactical model on there website??? wow, i really feel dumb right now!!!

Isnt there a new M4 RAS because the new M4A1 barrel is heavier and it has the larger diameter of an HBAR except 2 flat cuts on the sides laterally 2 inches forward of the chamber and the notch past the front site so it can still take the 203 but with more meat.These are the only changes I can other wise see. Under the handguard the new barrel dimensionaly is identical to an HBAR..check out www.autoweapons.com and see the new colt M4 uppers for sale they show the barrel.So KAC must make a RAS for the new barrel.
