I'm looking at putting a FF handguard on my A2 and can not find much information on the YHM Lightweight and the Olympic Arms FIRSH.  Price is an issue so I can not go with the MI (the 2 piece would be much easier), LaRue, or Troy.  So, I'm looking for any user comments on the FIRSH and the YHM.  I know what is involved to install them so that is not an issue.  Which one has the better mounting?

Thanks,

Sarge

When you say A2, do you mean A2 upper?  I ask because one of hte nice things about the FIRSH is that it provides a continuous rail on top with no gap over the barrel nut.

If that isn't a factor then I'd go for the YHM because it has a nicer finish IMO.

Yep, A2 upper.  I currently have my Aimpoint mounted to an ARMS #39.  While this setup is very usable I was thinking about gettin rid of the ARMS mount and my M33 and replacing both with the FF.

Thanks for the info.
