Hello,

Which bipod does the US Army or Navy us on the M16A4 model? Is it Harris? If so which model?

The answer would be none. What you mean are like the SPRs and stuff like that. it is harris

I have seen M3 bipods which are claimed to be military issue.  Perhaps they used to be but are not anymore.

The M16A1 had a clothes pin type spring loaded bipod that was supposed to be clipped on the barrel in the space between the front and rear lugs of the front sight base. Total waste of time.

The thing put gouges in the barrel, and changed the point of impact.  Never have seen one in actual use.

Current type bipod use, as noted above, is the Harris unit, mounted on the forend.  The Israelis are fond of the same thing
