For night shooting want to start with ammo with least amount of flash with a 1/9 barrel.I read that the BH 75gr is low, but accuracy may suffer W/my barrel.Would like to know other loads considered with low flash.

I'll tell you what has high flash- PMC 55 gr match has about 18" of flash without a flash hider out of my 16". The flash hider helped alot, but the flash is still there. [8D] Mike

Every Black Hills load I've used has had low flash, so you're not stuck with the 75gr. South African M193 also has low flash, in my experience.

I have found SA to have low flash too. Two loads that didn't have low flash was some old Q3131 and Spanish SB SS109. I found the Igman SS109 does have a lower flash signature than the SB, shooting at dusk did not produce any noticeable flash. Have heard that Q3131A has a lower flash signature than XM192.

I can confirm the Black Hills 68gr load is also a very low flash load. So if your rifle doesn't like 75gr then give this a try.

Tried SA, Q3131A, and Fed XM-193 out of a 16" with vortex in pitch dark desert. Observers reported no distinquishable difference whatsoever. Your results may vary, particularly without vortex. Luck, SD
