I'm wondering where is the best place to buy a side sling mount for the front of my m4.....can anyone help?

There are a couple different types

The Colt style that fits in the FSB can be found at Specialized Armament (sawlesales.com)

There are others that mount on the sides of rails. The KAC being the best can be found at MTSN

Dont have a great photo of the Colt front site attachment, but it can be seen on the far left side of this pic on the AR in it the center

Try Bravo Company.  Call them first and check for availablity and any questions you have.  IMO they have good customer service and quality products.

+1 on the GRSC Front Side Sling Mount.  I have one on all my AR's and it is a GREAT product.  It does require a bayo lug, but it give you one pic rail slot under the FSB, which is where I mount my Surefires.  They make a very good 3-Point sling too.
