Where can I get the numbered flat top M4 uppers which will match the numbers on my RAS?  Is Colt the only one who makes these?

Thanks.

I didn't buy a Colt setup just to swap out the receiver.  How about this instead - Who can number my receiver after the fact?  My KAC FF Short did not have numbers either, so I need the front end done as well.  Both of my first choices are too busy with other projects/runs to do it.

Thanks,
Mike Simmons

!!!!! Sorry, I should have said upper receiver or just upper, did not mean to imply lower receiver.  By KAC FF Short, I meant KAC's RAS system.  I just want my entire flat top and RAS numbered like the current ones...

Mike:

Don't know for certain, but I would think that you would have to go through all sorts of legal hassels to renumber a lower receiver.

Probably highly illegal, but there may be a legal way to do it.

Gecko - he's talking about numbering the upper, not the lower.

FS - I got a real nice one from Sherluk at KCR about a year ago. They had numbered and un-numbered at about $10 difference.

oops... When you say "Numbered M4 Upper" do you mean a numbered flat-top or a numbered flat-top with those Colt feed ramps cut in?

Did you mean the white numbers on top of the upper?

I want to know where I could get one, too.

Actually, I haven't the faintest idea - maybe to standardize optics/NV/iron sight placement?

The numbers are a refference point to mount whatever it is you are mounting. For instance, I know to mount my optic on the #12 rail when it comes off.
