Thanks

thanks (been there), but I was asking if anyone could recommend a particular source for a quality engraved port cover.

just checking here for a little feedback on which vendor may/may not be better to go thru is all.

Ya know, I've been wanting to replace my cover for a while as it is beat. But every time I think about it i also remind myself that the sucker is really spring loaded and has to be a PITA to replace. Thinking it isn't worth the frustration.

Find the engraving you want and go.  My friend had his custom done on blank ejection ports his wife does engraving for some shop she works at.  He has a bunch that say Minute Man, Son of Liberty, and one he tried to get done but turned out halfway decent with the 2nd Amendment text on it.

The cover itself is not difficult to replace.

But then again, it's a lot easier to put on one when your assembling the rifle, not one that's already assembled.

It's not hard at all to replace. An extra c clip may come in handy though

fwiw-  I am putting this on a 300BLK build.

I would like the outside(port closed) to have this image on the RH side (obviously smaller), and instead of "7.62x35mm", I would prefer it say "300 BLK".

Haven't quite decided what I want for the inside yet...

ETA:  Fixed it up the way I want with MS Paint.

and here's another with a little bigger font..
