About a week ago I came across an online gun shop that sold a special punch set for the AR15 that came in this nifty case but forgot to bookmark the page and all my attempts to re-locate the website have been unsuccessful.  Does anyone know where to buy a punch set for AR15's online?

And one more question, there is a certain tool to hold that spring in place so it doesn't fly out and get lost, does anyone know the name of this tool and where to get it online?

Thanks

Go to Sears and buy a Craftsman punch set, as it's not uncommon to break the 1/16" punch messing with your AR15s/M16s.

That way you can get a new one for zero cost when that happens.....

the taper pin punch is handy for replaacing your FSB and the roll pin starter set is great!

Do I need a delrin punch?  It seems the main difference between the punch sets specifically for AR-15's and just general punch sets availalbe at hardware stores are that the ones for AR's have delrin punches.

I have been using this punch set for years.  Very high quality.  I have used it on 1911's, 10/22, AR etc.  (It was given to me as a gift, link is for referance)

Sears general purpose punches (Tweak's link) are cheaper and more available w/ lifetime warranty.  Not as nice to use though.

I thought maybe I was the only one who did that all the time.

The Companion line (linked) lack the lifetime warranty of the Craftsmans. Also, the 3/32 punch needs to be ground to clear the hump in the mag well so the lower doesn't get scratched while installing/replacing the bolt catch.

Ooops...your right Tweak.  Didn't notice the Companion part (thought the price was too good).  I was thinking about the Craftsman ones that I have for general use.
