When there used to be a search function, I had done some looking into this, too. Botach does sell it, but the general consensus seems to be: give them a call before you order, and MAKE SURE its in stock before you order, or it'll be a hassle getting it. I haven't bought it, because I wanna buy it by the case, and can't afford to right now. Hopefully others who've dealt with Botach will pipe in and give input, since I can only provide secondhand information. edited 'cause i can't spell |

I too would like to know where to get IMI M855 without having to deal with Botach. I'm into photography too as a hobby, and they are soooo much like the New York camera stores it isn't funny. Don't those importers have distributors for the IMI line?

Botach is IMI's exclusive US distributer. And while many have had problems with other items, they seem to have no problems with case-lot ammo orders.
And despite Botach's low, low prices, I really wish there were other IMI distributers... -Troy |

So there is nowhere else to get CURRENT production mil-spec M193 ammo (i.e. Winchester ammo...Q3131 or Q3131a). I know Federal XM193 is available, but what's up with Winchester?

Widener's said they are expecting an IMI component delivery, sometime next week, but didn't mention anything about ammo.
Chestnut Ridge Supply lists IMI, but I would call first to verify. |

I've seen the Q3131A available at several places and don't know of any shortages. There's even some listed on the EE board here. |

Botach is currently IMI's exclusive US distributer of loaded, IMI-branded ammo. IMI also manufacturers ammo under contract for Winchester. Winchester's item number for this ammo is Q3131A. -Troy |

Which were the bad Winchester lots again? I found a site that's selling Q3131 ($185 per 1000). From what I understand, this stuff isn't as hot as Q3131A? |

I recently picked up 3 boxes (90 rounds, 30 in each box) of IMI M855 from my friend Michael Rudolph. His website is: www.emergencyresources.com/ I ordered from him a few weeks ago. He recently went to a gun show so I don't know how he's doing as far as ammo goes. I told him to keep an eye out for M855 for me. Check out his website. Drop him a line or give him a call. |

The only bad Q3131 were *some* lots of '99 production (they'll have WCC 99 headstamps). Forest has some of the lot numbers on his page (Maryland AR15 Shooters' page). Q3131 is actually a bit hotter/faster than Q3131A, usually about 30 fps.

KYIMPORTS sells it and has both IMI M855 and M193 IN STOCK. At least they did 2 weeks ago when I emailed asking them. Never ended up buying it so don't know how they are to deal with. But they do carry it in stock regularly so they said. $289.99 per 1200 rounds of M855 as of my inquiry. They also have 600 round cases. Don't know about cost for the the M193. I don't know if it was listed on their site. I think I had to email to ask. Hope this helps.
