Hard to imagine you have been a member since June and haven't seen a dozen references to these already, but try ammoman.com or ammotogo on gunbroker.com.

Yeah, I know all those sites, but it seems many have got XM193 for significantly cheaper.

Did you try looking at the Ammo Price thread that's been TACKED AT THE TOP OF THIS FORUM FOR MONTHS?

Of course, but I cannot find anything less $100/500rd XM193 (not PD, and shipping included) anywhere.

haveIf you don't have nothing nice to say don't waste the bandwith.    I buy my ammo either at Wal-mart if I'm out or broke and when I have money I buy XM193 and Wolf from AmmoMan.

Who's being a dick here?  There is a reason that there are tacked topics at the top of the thread list. Is it too much to ask for people to read them?

Exactly.  And if he has already tried ammoman and ammotogo, then possibly ask who OTHER than the odvious do we reccomend.

I just don't see the problem in him asking and then getting talked down to, jmho. He asked a honest question and alll he wanted was a honest answer to his question.

Loaded up early this summer at wideners.com.  They had em going for $100/500, but I think they've raised the prices.  Sign of the times.

Your answer lies in books like this one:

You probably wont find anything cheaper right now. Hopefully the situation will change but $200/1000 is the cheapest your going to get it now.

Unfortunatly I have to buy all my ammo locally, since you cant ship ammo to Alaska by air.

I buy ammo at my local gunshow.  Recently Miwall has had Federal XM193 and Winchester Q3131A available.  $99.95/500 for the XM193 and $199.95/1000 for the Q3131A.  That's about average.  Look for gunshows in your area...there are some good deals to be had.

Some of you guys are being dicks. We are here because we are all interested in shooting. As far as I am concerned there is no stupid question.

I would rather read everyones opinions, stories and local prices rather than read the same tacked material all the time.  I learn a lot more from topics that are being debated  in a thread  even when the same stuff is tacked and no one can post a rebutal.   I'm glad people post what some call stupid questions cuz I have asked myself the same stupid questions but don't want to get the standard "read the ammo oricle" replies.   JMO

You know, that really must stink.  I suppose ground shipping is out of the question.  Can you buy from some place in Canada and have it sent legally?

Only way ammo comes to the state of Alaska is by ship. Unless you are bringing in small quantities through Canada or on a commercial airline. And yes, it stinks REAL BAD. Becuase all the local shops and Sportsman Warehouse charge between 10-50% more for ammo than what I had to pay in the lower 48. I still manage to buy Wolf 7.62x39mm cases for 112.00 per case. But everythning else is high.
