I have a 628 on my MP5. Where can I find a new not scratched up tube body?

The SureFire 628 uses the L60 Lamp Module so to replace the L60's Lamp Module Housing Body you'll need a new L60 Lamp Module.

However, have you considered this a good opportunity to get a LM2 200 lumen LED Lamp Module?

I have a new style head and an led head from my 6p LED Defender, put my Q5 bulb in the 6p which I won from TNCV (btw, that is a great bulb, bright as hell!)

So there is no way to just get the body?

Not formally.

Yes you can. You can get a Surefire 660 and use parts off it then you could sell of what you don't use to recoup some of your $$. The battery tube on these is 2 pieces and the front half will work on your forend body. Sell of the remote switch, XM tailcap and bezel if you dont feel like using it and get halfof your $$ back.

You may be able to get just the tube but I don't know about that.

Just saw one in the EE for $100 they have it listed as a 666 though, Budget Lights section.

So the principle of getting a whole 660 rather than the L60 is that you would hope to recoup a larger proportion of it's overall cost... perhaps even profit.
