1987? I have one made in 89 that has the small fire control pins. [no block either]

About the same time they started letting chuck schumer tea-bag them, and doing kool-aid shots.

Probably '89, '90, or '91 as those were 'bad' years at Colt

They were mired in a 4-year long labor strike, willing to do anything but including blow politicians who sought to limit gun sales, and shared ownership with the semi-commie state of Connecticut.

Hard way to do business.

Ans also alienated a few gun owners 'bout that same time (hard to tell, huh? )

About the same time they started shaving off bayonet lugs and marking rifles "sporter"

Was there ever a colt semi-auto  lower reciever with M16 pivot pin and fire control pins?
