There's more coming. I talked to a local ammo dealer and he's already signed the paperwork for another import shipment due off the boat in April.

Got 8 tubs a few weeks ago so cheap you would just die.  Let's just say it was cheaper than Wolf as Xmas money was tight.  Seller will be getting more in March/April and if I don't buy it all then, I will post the price.  And I only have 4 tubs left now.

Damn man, now you tell me.  After I blew a wad of $$$ to stock up now.  [:D]  Actually I'm extremely happy if we do get more in.  SA is my favorite ammo and I hope a LOT more shows up here in the US.

thanks everyone for the replys and I am gratefull. However, I was looking for more of a price, so when or if It does come back out, I will know what to expect to pay.

After the SA M193 runs out, do you think there will still be a good amount of Q3131A around??

Unfortutely, with the laws of supply and demand coupled with regional variances, this is pretty much impossible to answer.  The better deals when the tubs were available were in the $275 - $325 range for 2700rds.

I do shoot alot so I stock up when the price is right to protect myself against availability problems and price increases.  Too bad no one sells ammo futures in the commodities markets; if such futures contracts exists, then I don't need to get extra space just to store ammo.  I currently have in storage 65k rounds of 223; about 70% Wolf, the rest is SA and Spanish SS019.  The real space hog is the 90+k of 8mm still in wooden cases; I just couldn't say no to cheap 8mm.

Cases and cases of mostly 8mm; there's some 223 and 308 cases mixed in.  See if you can spot those.  Cardboard boxes are Wolf 223.  Shiny metal tins are 1200rd Russian 7.62x54R; real heavy.  The main 223 stash was blocked by a car so I'll get a pic of that next time.  That's an MG42 tripod on the right.

And for the 1919 shooters, a 1000rd+ belt of German, Yugo and Turk 8mm mixed.  The Turk 8mm wooden case holds one long belt nicely.  Nothing like a long burst to smoke your barrel.

Found an inventory list, don't know how accurate.  This pile suppose to have 45 cases 8mm, 7 tins 54R, 3 308, 9 Wolf 223, 2 SA tubs, 12 CZ 7.62x25, 5 Win 9mm.  There's 2 more piles at different locations.

Oh my goodness! That’s more than twice what I have in my garage!

I have seven more cases of ammo arriving today and the wife doesn’t know about it and she mentioned that she would like to move into a bigger house this coming summer. We just moved into this place last April and moving the ammo/guns/safe was a major problem. Somehow the kids and I are going to get out and shoot 30,000-50,000rds before next summer to make moving a little easer.

Holy Smokes!
Compared to some of yall's ammo stash, my ammo stash doesnt amount to much of a stash at all.

I have also been searching for SA.223 ammo and cant find any. If the SA ammo sources have dried up, then what is the next best type and who has the best deals right now?

           [hail2]

my "ammo stash" consists of a couple of hundred rds of Q3131a that will be gone next time i go out to the range.

BTW i think j&g still has SA, i went to there site and clicked on it and it did not say out of stock, couldn't buy any though cause i'm broke.

Whoohoo, excellent photos.  I just counted up my battlepacks to 47.  You have more cases then I have battlepacks. [:D]  I have a decent stash of ammo, but now I see my goal.  I need more more more.

[:O] Whoa, that's a lot of ammo. I have nothing compared to that. You must have spent a fortune accumulating all that. I don't think I will ever have that much ammo [>(]

Just think, M193 is 80's and early 90's production.

In 5-10 years we'll be shooting green tip, calling it "surplus".

I don't think so.  Thanks to Clinton and our great US Govt, they are no longer surplusing ammo.  Therefore when the ammo is old, they will burn it or bury it or whatever they do.
