There seems to be only one decent thread regarding the Prvi Partizan .223 75grn ammo. The shooter said he had some decent accuracy (I think the quote was .8" @ 100yds) out of a bolt gun. Has anyone tested this out of an AR? I just picked some up as part of my monthly ammo purchase.

A combination of weather and others irritants has kept me from the range with mine. I am hoping that someone there will be using their chrono and I can get them to put a few rounds through it with my 14.5 CMMG.

This is what used to be the Wolf Gold right?
Do these actually have a cannelure or are they smooth sided? |

They have no cannelure, are full metal case, are 24mm long with a rather pronounced long boat tail. |

Is the Prvi boxed 75gr .223 the exact same round as the Wolf Gold .223 75gr? I know they are both made by Privi but just wanted to know if they were definetly the same exact round but just different packaging.
thanks also it looks like if you want this ammo buy it now because according to ammoman the prices are going to go way up on it and because of the price increase ammoman will not be selling it after this batch runs out. |

The ammoman listing is pretty confusing to me...his pictures look nothing like the PPU Match I bought from AimSurplus:
AimSurplus PPU Match |

I still havent shot the box I got from Eric!

You can not get 75gr. Black Hills. I have heard it is year on back order. Prvi Partizan may look good.

I just ordered 200 rounds from AIM for my 1-8 twist SPR. I will will update this thread upon arrival and testing. Anyone else have any updates on this ammo? I only bought 200 rounds due to the limited amount of feedback? Seems like everyone ammo variant is discussed to death here but this one....

I would like to know what these cartridges do in a 1:9 twist barrel. Maybe I should buy some boxes and test them out when i've installed my new barrel. But that c=gonna take two to three weeks atleast.

I got to the range yesterday and tried some of the Prvi marked boxes of 75 gr HP Match. And some Black Hills 68 gr, BB.
The Prvi was fairly accurate, burned clean and functioned fine. What I got with 5 shot groups was 3-4 shots that were pretty tight with 1-2 flyers that would open a MOA group to 1.3-1.5 inches. The BH was more consistant staying inside of an inch at 100yds from the bench with up to ten rounds with the best 100 yd 5 shot group being .48 inches center to center. Not bad for the money for sighting in and punching paper, or even staying in the vitals of a coyote out to 200yds. Rifle used was a J&T Marksman upper (A3 with YHM FF tube, Wilson Air guaged HBAR 1:8 SS, Vortex Flash eliminator). Tasco 6-24x set on 10x. Superior Lower with RRA 2 stage trigger. Fired from sandbags on wooden bench. 76 degrees F 68% humidity with 4-5mph cross wind. |
