I kind of thought this ammo was premium ammo and came across a good deal on 1000 rounds. I thought I could do a two for one deal on some Lake City ammo at the local gun shop. He said I would have to give him some cash on top of a one to one trade. Needless to say I'll just shoot it up like target ammo. But I was wondering if this ammo was inferior to Lake City and the other popular bulk ammo in some way. It sure is packaged well. Each box has 20 rounds in styrofoam.

Ive never shot any myself, but when Ive seen it for sale, its nearly 80 cents a round, I believe. If its worth 80 cents a round, sounds like you're getting a nice deal. But with MK 262 MOD 1 at 55 cents a round, I wonder if anyone actually PAYS 80 cents for these Win Ranger 223 rounds.........

I paid 18 cents per round shipped. About what I would pay for Lake City.

I think it's basically the same as M855. I have never shot it or chrono'ed it though.

here is a link to the ammo I am talking about. It seems like pretty good stuff. I have seen it for around $15-$18 a box as well. That is why I bought it when I saw it so competitively priced.

55 gr. Ranger Pointed Soft Point
muzzle velocity is 3240

I plan to shoot some this weekend. If it is accurate enough I will probably buy more.
