Not sure where to post this question, so I'll try here, first.  What's a complete, unfired Colt 6920 M4 sporter (not LE and not MagPulled) lower worth?  Thanks.

Don't know if it's unfired but I bought one (a complete lower) with Rogers stock  on the EE for $525 shipped.

$500 is a good starting place.

What it's worth depends on what a buyer is willing to pay.

I see them listed for $500+ pretty consistently on the EE and elsewhere. IMHO, I'd rather pony up and spend another 400-500 for a complete rifle, than pay $500 + shipping and FFL fees for a lower only. I'm a Colt fanboy, but I wouldn't pay that much for a lower when I can build a complete rifle for only a $100 or so more, or get a complete 6920 for $995-1095.

All I know is that they're currently selling for far more than they're worth in my book.

What most intrigues me is why would anyone want to pay upwards of $600 for a Colt lower when in the same pricerange you can put together a lower like say...Seekins billit lower, DD LPK, Geissele SSA and a Magpul CTR. That's an all around better lower and would cost about the same.

I had a need for a 6920 lower and decided to just buy the entire 6920 and sell off the upper.

Worth is a relative concept. To me, you would have to pay me to take a Seekins abortion. Further, does Seekins have access to the TDP? I see your point, but there are many factors that go into worth and value.

Also, the complete rifle cost is a good point. However, I don't like 16" carbine barrels so buying just a lower makes sense in some cases.

As stated, $500 is a reasonable starting point.
