That is a Phillipino soldier holding an M16 with his finger on the ...YIKES & DOHH!!!
trigger. That L shaped mag is a fifty rounder. It also doubles as a boomerang when the ammo runs out. The Phillipino military has undergone extensive testing with the Australian Commandos. When a soldier runs out of ammo, he hurls the boomerang shaped mag at his enemy with deadly intent. |

That is wierd is what it is. It loos like it would not be that reliable. I would think the slightest bit of grit or dirt would jam it up. I could be wrong but....

It's perfectly reliable. What you don't see is that it is flexable. When he holds it up to fire, it straightens right out!!
Those flexi-mags are great for confined spaces. When it's empty, you can collapse it like one of those snazzy camping cups and put it in your pocket! Edited to add: It might straighten out when he gets excited too, like a sudden rush of adrenaline. [shock] |

I don't know what the hell it is or how it works. It doesn't look practical. It doesn't even look reliable. It's ugly as hell (not that it matters)...
But why the hell do I still want one??? Only answer I can think of: I don't already have one... |

I strongly suspect photoshopping. The arc of the mag appears to be made of straight segments, doesn't have a constant or consistent curve, and I think the white border hides the cropping of the magazine against the camo pattern.
