I am picking mine up this Thursday or Friday.  I have an extra 1-4 accupoint in a Larue mount, but was thinking about something with a little more magnification.

What do you think?

Tagascribe.  Picked mine up the other day, and it needs some glass.  Haven't had time to do much looking into it.

I just shot my new MA-TEN today for the first time. I borrowed a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 from my Bushmaster Varminter. I can tell already that I want more magnification for this rifle. I'd say at least 16x but I'd prefer a 20x.

I'm happy with my swfa ss 3-9

I am thinking of upgrading to a vortex pst 6-24. If you are thinking of getting a higher magnification, do it.

I'm working on a 308 build & have been considering what to top mine with. Have have been running a Nikon 4-12X40 & I want more magnification for range work. After reading reviews and looking at cost; I am going to go with the Mueller tactical 8.5-25X44 mildot; it gets great reviews on Midway & for $ 165 - it's a no brainer for me.

You didn't state your budget, so price must not be a factor.

I am partial to my USO, SN3 TPAL, 1.8-10 with the EREK knob....

Mounted on my LMT MWS, a great combination, not a light set up, but well balanced...IMO, you cannot get a better set up...

Since this picture was taken, I move the scope forward 4 T-Slots on the upper.  Feels much better...

I have a 10X 3200 Elite on mine.  It works so far at least out to 400 yards on clay pigeons.

Still haven't decided, but I know I am not putting a tasco on my 2k+ rifle!!!  I may be going in around 1k - 1200 bucks.

Too bad they are so expensive, but the 6x Acog that the Brits are running is awesome. I always discounted them as an overweight/oversized pig, but after using one recently my opinion has changed.

I use a TA11G with horseshoe reticle.  But I don't have anywhere to shoot past 350 yards.  For that distance this scope works just fine.

I have the IOR 2 x 12 Spartan scope on my..bulit like a russian tank, but its very very clear. I am not that experianced with Long Range shooting, This scope has 168gr Cammed turrets out to 800yds

For the .308 version I use the Accupoint 1-4x24 with the post and triangle.  I can hit an 8" plate all day long at 400 yds.  To me that optic is the perfect mix of accuracy and speed.  Buy hey thats just my opinion.  If I want a higher powered optic, I'll use a bolt gun.

Now on my MWS in .260 Rem I use a 2.5-8x32 Leupold Mk4.  It fits that gun and round very well.

I've got the same scope and I'm really pleased with the clarity.

I have run a T1, 1-4x, 2.5-10x, and 3.2-17x on my MWS. I prefer my 2.5-10x24 NF over the others.

I have a Leupold MK4 4.5-14 on mine.  Good for steel out to 600, if I had it to do over I think I would go Nightforce with hollow Mil dots and zero stops.

I'm a Vortex fan boy.  My LMT well be getting a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44.  This should be enough magnification for ranges past 600yds.  If you want to shoot longer range then the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 would be a good choice.  I have a earlier model Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 on my 21" NoveskaLite AR10.

The quality of today's scopes and the great prices have never been better.  You have dozens to choose from.
